Our Happy Valley residential facility provides specialized programming for teen boys ages 12–17 who are struggling with mental health issues and co-occurring disorders such as substance use. Our integrated approach focuses on personalized care, combining evidence-based therapies with experiential learning and regular family therapy.
We utilize several therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, all aimed at helping young males build essential coping skills and enhance emotional regulation.
Newport Academy also prioritizes the development of a supportive community, encouraging peer connections and social skills through group therapy and engaging activities, such as outdoor Adventure Therapy, hiking, kayaking, and Mixed Martial Arts.
