When Is Residential Treatment Needed?
If your young adult is showing ongoing signs of depression, anxiety, distress, or defiance, they may benefit most from the immersive mental health support of a live-in adult residential program. Newport’s internal data shows that residents show exceptional outcomes and improved overall well-being.
If a young adult has received inpatient care in a hospital for a mental health crisis, residential treatment could be the next step in their recovery. However, residential care is also appropriate if a young adult has been in outpatient care or weekly therapy but they need more support than these options provide.
How Newport Is Changing Lives
Newport provides a different kind of mental health treatment for young adults. We don’t just treat symptoms, we work to uncover the underlying issues that have caused mental health or substance use disorders.
Moreover, we understand that young adults need a sense of meaning and purpose to help them overcome mental health issues. Therefore, we support them in building skills for independent living, and pursuing educational and career goals.
Here are a few more reasons why Newport is the nation’s leading provider of young adult residential treatment:
- We’re accredited by the Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest healthcare accreditation body.
- We utilize the most successful evidence-based clinical models in the industry.
- We prioritize family involvement, to ensure that young adults have a strong support system.
- Our Center for Research and Innovation is dedicated to continuously improving patient outcomes, supporting professional development, and advancing the industry as a whole.
