Watch as Heather Monroe, LCSW, Director of Program Development, and Kristin Wilson, MA, LPC, Vice President of Clinical Outreach join with behavioral health leaders from across the country in our behavioral health expert webinar series to discuss relational trauma. This interactive webinar is designed for clinical professionals, Psychologists, Therapists, Counselors, and Social Workers working with families during a time of crisis.
Professionals Navigating Parents Through Change
From our external behaviors to our internal processes, there is very little that relational trauma does not impact. This causes a devastating affect on our clients’ most basic human need—connection. As children, we are physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually reliant on our caretakers for survival. This sets the stage for both adaptive and maladaptive behaviors, thinking, and beliefs about the world and about ourselves in adulthood.
In this experiential presentation, watch as Heather Monroe explains how relational trauma differs from other traumas, the covert and overt ways in which it manifests, and which components of self it influences in adolescents and adulthood.
