William chose the field of teen treatment in order to help teens going through what he once experienced. Therefore, he works with adolescents struggling with addiction, as well as anxiety, depression, disordered eating, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and family issues.
William is a recovery specialist and uses approaches drawn from trauma-informed treatment, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
Before joining Newport Academy in 2018, William was a case manager for Turnbridge in New Haven, Connecticut. In that role, he was responsible for all client activities, family meetings and calls, transitions and discharge planning, and coordination with previous direct-care teams.
