Victoria Manik, MA, AMFT
Victoria Manik, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, loves working with adolescents and giving them an opportunity to feel heard and understood. She feels it is a privilege to help guide teens toward new ways of viewing themselves, their relationships, and their world, supporting them to become compassionate and impactful adults. Victoria specializes in adolescent transitional issues, teen depression, teen anxiety, peer pressure, relational conflict, communication issues, substance abuse, self-harm, and grief/loss. Hence, her focus includes building self-esteem, self-worth, and interpersonal skills.
Before beginning a career in teen treatment, Victoria was a television producer. She produced several documentaries and shorts involving youth in underserved communities—projects that involved extensive interviews and time spent volunteering in group homes for children. As a result, she was drawn to the mental health field, and to working with adolescents in particular.
Newport Academy…in her own words
“I’ve seen Newport Academy grow and evolve over the years, and the one thing that has remained the same is the emphasis on human connection. Everyone knows each other’s names and is willing to connect, support, and grow together, making Newport Academy feel like a big, encouraging, loving family.”–Victoria Manik
