Veronica Rodriguez, LMFT
Veronica Rodriguez works as a family therapist because “we cannot change the past; however we can work to better understand and resolve current challenges for the future.” At Newport Academy, Veronica has been trained in family therapy, crisis assessment and management, family-based therapy for eating disorders, ABFT, DBT, and CBT. In her opinion, she excels at treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, crisis management, suicidal/homicidal ideation, and self-injurious behaviors.
Previously, Veronica worked as a counselor monitor for adolescents with eating disorders at a residential treatment facility. She also worked as an Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services Crisis Clinician where she provided crisis assessment throughout the community to evaluate and formulate clinical diagnoses.
Newport Academy…in her own words
“Newport Academy allows adolescents to connect to multiple experiential treatment modalities to aid in their recovery process. We are able to engage the whole family in creating a supportive and stronger family system.” –Veronica Rodriguez
