Robin Seymour, LCSW/R
Robin Seymour, LCSW/R, has 16 years of experience as a therapist, including 13 years in private practice in New York City; Sag Harbor, New York; and Weston, Connecticut. She served for six years as the senior staff therapist for the Family Service League of Suffolk County in East Hampton, New York, providing individual, marital, family, and group psychotherapy. Robin also provided counseling and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and their children at The Retreat in East Hampton.
Robin was chosen by New York State’s Family Services League for training and membership in the statewide Functional Family Therapy Team, an initiative of the New York State Office of Mental Health to provide quality services for families at risk. Her volunteer work has included offering weekly therapy utilizing pets through the Good Dog Foundation, in a variety of health-care settings.
Robin also has a background in fundraising and nonprofit development. She held positions at several major not-for-profits in New York City and East Hampton, including the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, the New York Holocaust Museum, and CARE, and also served as director of development for the East Hampton Day Care Center.
