Laura Ostrove, LMFT
Laura Ostrove has been working in the mental health field for 15-plus years, specializing in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and dual diagnosis issues. She has experience in a wide range of settings, including recovery centers, private practice, elementary through high schools, and county probation programs for child abuse, anger management, and domestic violence offenders.
Trained in multiple therapeutic modalities, Laura is particularly influenced by Murray Bowen’s family systems theory. This approach looks at individuals’ roles and coping mechanisms in the context of family dynamics and interaction.
Laura enjoys working with people to explore the best solutions to their emotional challenges. “It is always a discovery and a collaborative effort to empower individuals and families as they face the challenges of life and begin to construct a new, healthier way to experience the world,” she says.
