ASSOCIATE CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Kurt Arsenault, MSW, LCSW

Kurt Arsenault, MSW, LCSW, has been working for the past 20 years with youth and families impacted by trauma and attachment issues. During that time, he has developed the ability to effectively support young people and their families in understanding the repercussions of trauma and the impacts of insecure or disrupted attachments.

Before joining Newport Academy in 2016, Kurt worked for a wide range of organizations and service providers in the state of Connecticut, including the Department of Children and Families; Wheeler Clinic at the Academy Clinical Day School in Middletown; Casey Family Services in Hartford; and the Village for Families and Children, an extended day treatment program in Hartford, CT.

Newport Academy…in his own words.

“Newport Academy understands that the best way to support positive change in clients is to see them as a whole, looking at mind, body, and spirit equally. I am continuously impressed by the talent, professionalism, and dedication of the entire Newport team.” —Kurt Arsenault
