Kristine Ibrahimi, LMFT

Kristine Ibrahimi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, trained in Attachment-Based Family Therapy; EMDR for trauma, PTSD, phobias, and addiction; and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Before joining the Newport Academy team, Kristine maintained a private practice and worked in a variety of settings, including intensive outpatient and partial hospital programs. She has served populations ranging from adolescents to homeless women to child victims of domestic violence.

In addition to her work with Newport Academy, Kristine is an Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist at Free Rein Foundation in Huntington Beach, California. There she works with adults and children, as well as couples, families, and groups.

Newport Academy…in her own words

“At Newport Academy, I have had the pleasure of seeing firsthand that shifts really do happen, even in clients who have been in treatment for years and believe that there is no hope for change or have no desire to change. Seeing and being part of this transformation is the most inspiring thing about working here. Even on the most challenging days, I’m able to find meaning in this work.”–Kristine Ibrahimi
