CULINARY PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Jeffrey Zurofsky is the founder and CEO of No Small Plans, LLC, and the co-founder and former president and CEO of ’wichcraft, Riverpark, and Riverpark Farm. In 2003, he partnered with chefs Tom Colicchio and Sisha Ortúzar to co-found ’wichcraft and spearheaded its expansion to 15 stores, including locations in San Francisco and Las Vegas. In 2009, the partnership opened Riverpark, a fine dining restaurant, and the innovative Riverpark Farm, New York’s most urban farm, located adjacent to the restaurant.
Prior to the founding of ’wichcraft, Jeffrey worked in some of Manhattan’s most prestigious kitchens, including Lespinasse, Savoy, Union Square, and as opening sous chef at Restaurant AZ. He also fed his entrepreneurial passion as director of business development at the tech startup Bank Pass and then as director of operations and CFO at Francois Payard Patisserie and Bistro. He recently appeared as a co-host on Bravo’s Best New Restaurant.
Jeffrey believes that learning how we grow and make our food can have a powerful healing effect and a lasting positive impact on our lives and he brings this awareness to the Newport Academy programs. Combining nutritional knowledge with culinary expertise, Jeffrey ensures Newport offers the finest, freshest, most wholesome meals.
Jeffrey lives in New York City with his wife, Satya Twena.
