Britney Natale, RN
Britney Natale began a career in nursing because she has always been intrigued with understanding how the human body works. Mental health and substance abuse issues have been an issue in her family for years, which originally sparked her interest in the behavioral health field. She recently began working in the field of behavioral health due to the growing presence of common co-occurring disorders and substance abuse issues within the healthcare industry. Her primary goal as a nurse is to make an impact in the lives of her clients. Britney has a mental health first aid certification and has participated in instructor training from the Department for Children and Families (DCF).
Britney received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Naugatuck Valley Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University. At Newport, Britney offers experience in short-term rehabilitation, boarding school, and office clinical work, Previously, she worked as a direct care staff with people who had developmental and behavioral disabilities. In this role, she was an advocate for her clients as many of them didn’t have their own voice. Through this position, she learned the important of patience and advocacy, and sues these skills on a daily basis at Newport Academy.
