The treatment team and ancillary staff at Newport Academy are committed to providing unparalleled quality of care for each of our residents. Our mission statement reflects our dedication to providing comprehensive, gender-specific, integrated treatment in a caring and compassionate environment.

Newport Academy offers residential and outpatient treatment for both males and females, ages 12-18, suffering from mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse diagnosis. We provide a highly individualized holistic approach to treatment. With only six teens in residence at each facility at any given time, each one receives the personal attention they desire and need to begin their journey in recovery. Our minimum stay is 45 days, with the average length of stay between 60 – 90 days.

We invite our trusted referral sources the opportunity to experience Newport Academy first hand by integrating into our program and staying at the Newport Academy campus in our ‘Referent Retreat.’ Whether you are able to spend a few hours or a few days with us, our referent retreat is available for you to personally experience Newport Academy, attend the weekly Program, meet individually with the Treatment Team, review our Policies and Procedures with the Administrative Staff, and speak with residents and families (when consent is given).

While at Newport Academy you will have an opportunity to meet our clinical team, be part of the treatment planning process, participate in our academic program, observe our group process, enjoy healthy nutritious meals, and experience our many experiential therapies including onsite equine therapy.

We recognize that you have choices for adolescent treatment and want you to have absolute certainty that you have chosen the best placement for your client. We are confident that you will leave Newport Academy feeling safe and secure in your decision.

Our clinical team works closely with our professional referral sources. Upon admission of your client you will receive a thank you letter, inquiring as to your preferred method and frequency of communication to receive progress reports and updates.

We view our referents as part of the treatment team and welcome your participation in treatment planning at the level you desire. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our clinical team from the initial pre-intake assessment through the discharge planning process.

Our clinical team is available 24/7 and would welcome the opportunity to answer any specific questions or concerns you may have. We are confident that once you have experienced our commitment to excellence you will clearly see there is not any other program like Newport Academy.
