Will Sanchez

Primary Therapist

Will Sanchez is currently finishing up his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University. He hopes to continue his education and pursue his Doctorate, also in Marriage and Family Therapy. He earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Concordia University, Irvine. He is currently completing his practicum hours working at Silverlake Medical Hospital in Rosemead, gaining invaluable experience as a counselor for adults with various chronic mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Will has a long history working with teenagers. He coached high school soccer at Newport Harbor High School for 5 years and worked for the City of Costa Mesa with the teen recreation programs. Will’s passion for competition and athletics has built him a foundation of confidence, hard work and perseverance to accomplish his goals. Will’s interest in the community is what drives him to be involved in the mental health field and develop a diverse working background. His philosophy is based on the work he has done on himself to develop patience and a genuine human connection. Growing up Will was blessed to have many positive role models in his life. He wishes to instill the values and positive structure he has experienced with those he is able to work with. Will is excited to join the team at Newport Academy.
