Rene Genovese, CADC II

Primary Counselor
Intensive Outpatient Program

Rene has been working in the substance abuse treatment field since 2001. Her specialty is working with adolescents in early recovery and educating families on the destructive effects of substance abuse and dependency. She has worked in a number of capacities including admissions, facilitating family therapy, and providing individual counseling and case management. She is highly motivated working with families in a group therapy setting and in developing workshops to strengthen effective communication to help illustrate different family perspectives.

Rene also utilizes her personal recovery experience when working with teens. She has been sober since the age of 17 and finds that this early recovery helps her relate to teens struggling with substance abuse. Rene believes that working within a multi-disciplinary team helps insure that the needs of teens and families are best addressed. She is an integral part of the Intensive Outpatient Program.
