Matthew Fabian

Care Coordinator
Boy’s Program

Matt is currently near completion of his certification in Drug and Alcohol studies at Cypress College and is working to obtain his CAADAC certification. He is also working to complete his Bachelors’ Degree in Psychology with plans to pursue a Masters’ Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Matt brings a passion for the treatment field and personal recovery experience to his role as a Care Coordinator. He has been in recovery since the age of 15 and knows firsthand how it is to struggle with addictions as a teen. For the last two years Matt has focused on giving back and working with at-risk teens in an outpatient adolescent program in Orange County. Matt hopes to utilize his professional background in the motion picture industry and introduce the love for film to the boys at Newport Academy. He is a strong role model for the teens in the program and believes that if anyone can help someone with the disease of addiction, it is the person who has found the tools necessary to lead a sober and healthy life and applies them on a daily basis.

Matt’s states “my passion is to work with teens and help them change their destructive behaviors. My goal is to seek truth in all I do and help the teens see the truths about their lives. I hope that in showing them the truth they will want to change. I believe in educating them about their behaviors and showing them where their behaviors have taken them. Furthermore I believe I can help them through the process of changing by showing them how to have a more productive healthy lifestyle.”
