Greg Felker is a credentialed teacher in the State of California. He received his teaching credential from National University in 2006. He is also a graduate of Chapman University with a B. S. in International Business, Greg spent 15 years in the private sector before turning to the profession of teaching. I knew the day I left high school that I wanted to teach at some point. I felt that I wanted to experience a bit of life before returning to the classroom so as to bring some practical knowledge and experience into my daily teaching. During his years away from the classroom, Greg was primarily self-employed in various financial and insurance related fields. He also spent much time studying various cultures, and traveling to over 30 countries.

As an educator Greg has worked primarily with at students. His 17 years of sobriety has provided an insightful perspective and kindred relationship with these students. I can relate to these students because I was one of them. I was placed in a residential treatment program in my high school years. I understand that most of these kids are very bright but have often be marginalized within their schools due to their chemical dependency and behavioral problems. My goal is to get them to believe in themselves again by focusing on their strengths and talents, and relating the core curriculum to their everyday lives. Ultimately, I’m here to help them realize their potential.
