Drew Fisher

Care Coordinator
Boys Program

Drew was born and raised in Orange County, CA. He spent a good portion of his young adult life traveling to Mexico, Tahiti, Costa Rica, Indonesia, the Bahamas, and many other countries. It was in his travels that he learned a great deal from the various people and cultures he was blessed to meet. Four years ago Drew got sober and a whole new world opened up to him. He spent the first couple years of his early recovery engulfed in the 12-steps, going to meetings, speaking on panels at hospitals and treatment centers, sponsoring young men in the program, and finding great satisfaction in helping others. Drew was then asked to help open and run the men’s facility of Laguna Beach Sober Living. This facility had a desire to create something more comprehensive than what had been created at other sober livings. Drew adds, “two years later I feel we have accomplished and exceeded those goals. We have such a hands on relationship with these clients that I wanted to further my education in hopes of being able to help even more. I am attending Saddleback College with an emphasis in the Human Services field, have a straight A average, and I’m working towards a counseling certificate and a CADAAC. I have also taken leadership training course with the sober living coalition. Working with people has come very naturally for me and really look forward to my opportunity with Newport Academy.”
